The CEO, Rickey Harris, a Columbus, MS native started doing his "back to school" supplies drives in 2020 in memory of his talented nephew (Antaves R. Petty) who passed away in 2017. Mr. Harris has been a staple of his community, from coaching youth flag football to mentoring and developing he has played an active role in the betterment of the lives of young people. He organized his back to school drives in 2020 to give back to the community by providing students of all ages with free school supplies and so much more. With the help of family, friends and other like minded people in the community they have all been a success. He created Takes A Village, a non-profit organization and website to better organize his efforts, take a more official stance, and catapult this charitable movement to the next level.
